Power technique #116: difference between average & exceptional results..
Quote of the day: “Excellence is not a skill, it’s an attitude..!”I was reading an article on how to get more work done in the same number of hours and the first line itself hit me hard: the difference between average results and exceptional ones is what you avoid.
We all have the same number of hours in the day, and what differentiates successful people from the rest is how they use the hours. And my biggest takeaway was this: use your ‘yeses’ even more cautiously than you use your money and time. Because saying yes consumes time, and saying no creates time.
Saying yes should make the future easier, not harder. Saying yes just so that you don’t hurt someone’s feelings also means hurting your own feelings and derailing your plans for yourself.
So here’s a hack that I’m working on to avoid saying a yes immediately (yes, I’m guilty of saying yes very often): Never say yes on the spot. Always give yourself some space. Make it a rule and tell people about it. Let them know that you don’t say yes on the spot and that you’ll get back.
Never say yes because you should say yes. If you choose to say yes, make it for a reason – and let that reason be your reason.
After all..

Welcome to #eNpoweringMinds by me, Namita Shah. I am an entrepreneur by day, a doodler by night, and a dreamer beyond the morning light 😉
After (crushing) chartered accountancy and law, I woke up from my hibernation of comfort and decided to take a plunge into my biggest challenge yet - entrepreneurship. I like to believe I kick ass everyday to make a difference in the lives of people around me, while being mindful of what life teaches me - to be humble and to be kind.
